It appears the bill is designed to stop so called fire arms fairs and the transfer of fire arms across states lines through such venues. Also - it places great liability upon a fire arm owner just to own a fire arm pertaining to child related accidents.
Common sense warrants that any person who has a fire arm should maintain safe measures in relation to the fire arm. Any child hurt by fire arm misuse is already prosecuted in accordance to each State’s laws. Keeping fire arms out of the hands of criminals is a fact and intent of even the most arduous gun collectors and one practiced in like. This is typical of the current Democratic party - more governmental control and reduce States rights when possible!

It is obvious the Blair Holt bill is redundant in it’s measure and over reaches through the Federal control mandates it wants put into law and therefore must be defeated!
If you are a gun owner common sense precludes you take the obvious steps:
1. Safety First.
2. Take a fire arms safety class and make sure all family members are there for the class.
3. Have the whole family practice using the fire arm. It removes the curiosity factor that younger users might have concerning the fire arm. Target practice is a great hobby and can lead to marksman competitions.
4. Keep the fire arm locked up in a safe or get a single gun case that uses finger print identification or a combination to open. If you live in an area where getting to your fire arm quickly is essential this type of protection is worth the investment.
5. If a fire arm is lost or stolen call your local law enforcement immediately.
